X-PEN ID is a user-driven digital identity and verification platform. All information, data, content, credentials, publications, affiliations, and records displayed on user profiles are provided, controlled, and managed solely by the users themselves.

X-PEN ID does not create, alter, fabricate, modify, or insert any personal, academic, professional, or research information into any user profile. Users have full control over their profiles and are solely responsible for the accuracy, legality, authenticity, and ownership of the information they submit.

By using this platform, you acknowledge and agree that your profile, identity, visibility, and public representation are entirely under your own responsibility.

4 Our Services & Verification

4.1 Public Profiles & Search Engine Indexing

X-PEN ID is designed to make verified academic and professional profiles publicly visible and searchable by default. By creating a public profile, you expressly consent to your selected data being indexed and displayed by third-party search engines, including but not limited to Google, Bing, and others.

While you may control certain privacy settings within your account, you understand that once information is indexed by external search engines, X-PEN ID cannot guarantee its immediate removal from all external systems.

X-PEN ID provides professional identity verification and profile management services including:

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our Services at any time without prior notice.

4.2 Verification Process Disclaimer

X-PEN ID provides a structured verification system based on documents submitted by users, institutional confirmations, third-party references, and available digital records.

Verification on X-PEN ID does not constitute a legal guarantee, legal certification, or absolute proof of authenticity. It is a system-based validation process intended to improve trust and transparency, not to serve as a legal or governmental certification authority.

Users remain fully responsible for ensuring the correctness, legality, and legitimacy of all submitted information, even after verification status is granted.

5 User Content

5.1 Content Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you submit to X-PEN ID. However, by submitting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, store, index, reproduce and display such content as necessary to operate, promote and improve our Services, including public profiles, verification workflows and search functionality.

5.2 Content Guidelines

You agree not to submit content that:

• Is fake, illegal, harmful, or offensive
• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Contains false or misleading information
• Violates any person's privacy rights
• Contains viruses or malicious code

5.3 False Information & Misrepresentation

Any user found to be submitting false, misleading, defamatory, or forged information may have their account permanently suspended or terminated without notice. X-PEN ID reserves the right to publicly revoke verification badges if misconduct is proven.

6 Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the X-PEN ID platform, including trademarks, logos, software, and content (excluding user content) are owned by or licensed to X-PEN ID.

8 Payments & Fees

8.1 Payments & Refund Policy

Where any paid services, subscriptions, or verification charges apply, all payments shall be strictly non-refundable unless otherwise required by applicable law.

By making any payment on the platform, you acknowledge and accept this non-refundable policy.

9 Termination

9.1 Data Retention After Termination

Due to the persistent and verification-based nature of X-PEN ID, certain records related to identity verification, audit trails, and public academic attribution may be retained even after account termination. Such records will be clearly marked as inactive where applicable.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.

Upon termination, your right to use our Services will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms which should survive termination shall survive.

10 Limitation of Liability & User Responsibility

• Profile visibility or indexing
• Verification outcomes
• Public representation of user data
• Academic, professional, employment, legal, or institutional consequences
• Errors submitted by users
• Third-party misuse of public data

You agree that the entire risk arising out of your use of X-PEN ID remains solely with you.

11 No Guarantee of Acceptance or Recognition

X-PEN ID does not guarantee acceptance, recognition, employment, academic admission, funding, publication approval, promotion, or institutional validation through the use of its platform or verification services.

12 Artificial Intelligence (Professor-X) Disclaimer

Professor-X is an AI-based informational assistance tool. All responses generated are for guidance, suggestion, and educational purposes only.

X-PEN ID does not make any legal, medical, professional, institutional, or official guarantees regarding AI-generated content. Users must independently verify any advice or information before acting upon it.

13 Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the Pakistan International Arbitration Centre (PIAC).

14 Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through email or platform notifications. Your continued use of our Services after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
